Chloe went to the park. She saw her friend, Sam. Sam sat on a bench. He looked very sad.
"Why are you sad, Sam?" Chloe asked.
"I lost my favorite toy," he said. "It was a little red plane. Now I can not find it."

Chloe felt sad for her friend. She went home and looked at her red pot.
The sunny seed was there, with its soft, warm glow. She gave the seed a little water.
She thought very hard about Sam and his lost red plane.
"Please help Sam," she whispered.
The next day, a new sprout was in the pot. It had just one big leaf.

The leaf was shaped like a little hand, with one finger pointing.
The leaf pointed right at Chloe's door!
Chloe gently picked the leaf. It felt warm. In her hand, the leaf turned and pointed down the street.
It was pointing the way! Chloe followed the helpful leaf.
It led her all the way back to the park. The leaf pointed to a big, tall tree.
Chloe looked up, up, up. High on a branch, she saw something small and red.

It was Sam's plane! A grown-up helped get the plane down.
Chloe ran to give the plane to Sam. He was so happy! Chloe smiled.
Her sunny seed was not just magic, it was kind, too.
